Established in 1972, the Toronto Flying Tigers Athletic Association has seen the NACIVT circuit through both the light and the dark. As the founding organization of Nine Man Volleyball in Toronto, the Flying Tigers Men's team held the circuit title in the 80's, and the Women's "A" team defended the championship in the 90's.
This year, the organization ranges from a teenager as young as fourteen years of age to a grey haired veteran. With six teams and over 80 members in the circuit, the Flying Tigers are larger than ever before, and continue to grow at a phenomenal rate.
In the past, the Flying Tigers have not only been involved with the volleyball scene, but have also had teams in numerous community ice hockey leagues. Also, becoming ever more popular is the Flying Tiger's Annual Golf Open. And players often gather not only to play sports. Year after year, the teams hold fundraising events such as car washes and barbeques, as well as banquets for community charities. Annual participation in these events total over 750 people from the greater Toronto area.
